JSCR Case Report of the Year
The Journal of Surgical Case Reports is pleased to announce the winner of the 2015 JSCR Case Report of the Year.
'MRI is unable to illustrate the absorption time of the absorbable TIGR mesh in humans: a case report' was selected as the winning case report following a review by our expert panel.
The authors report on follow-up magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans of an absorbable mesh repair treatment in a patient who had suffered a bilateral laparoscopic inguinal hernia. They conclude that further studies are needed to confirm the absorption time of the mesh in humans.
